Spring Hockey

CCP Hockey Spring League Parents and Players -

I just wanted to let all of you know that we are watching the Thompson League situation closely and will be reporting back to you this week with the ultimate resolution. I also wanted to assure you that we will be attempting to complete the balance of the games with or without the structure of the league. Gus and I have discussed this at length and will be attempting to schedule "practice" games with the other teams in the league in the event that the league does not formally reschedule these games. As the balance of the fees to the Thompson League are likely non-recoverable, CCP Hockey Club will bear the cost of these games and the referees. We will not be asking anyone to pay anymore than you already have for participation in the Spring League. The only wildcard in all of this will be the willingness of the other teams to schedule the practice games.

Thanks in advance for your patience with this situation. As soon as we have some definitive information and/or a revised schedule, we will pass it on to you as well as post it on the CCP Hockey website. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to email Gus or myself.

This will in no way impact the Spring White team.

Due to the high number of players that have registered for spring hockey we will again be having 2 teams. The "White" team will play either in the Prep Spring Hockey League at Webster Groves or have some practice games against some of these teams. This team will consist of 6 th and 7 th graders. The "Red" team will play in the Thompson JV league. Thompson league rules state that players must be in at least the 7 th grade. Therefore, the "Red" team will consist of 7th , 8th , and some 9th graders. Most 7th graders will be rostered on both the White and Red teams and will be in the lineup for all White team games and potentially in some Red team games .

We will post a lineup for the Red team a couple days before each game so please pay attention to the website. We hope to have schedules up for both teams soon. When the schedules come out, please inform the coaches if you cannot make a game so that we can plan accordingly. Rosters for each team are below. All players must currently be registered with USA Hockey in order to participate this spring.

Any player who cannot attend a spring hockey function must inform the coach of their impending absence. If a player cannot attend a game, he must provide clear communication to the coach at least 48 hours before the game.
