Chicago X-Mas Tournament

 

2008 High School Holiday Hockey Classic

The 15th Annual Chicago Blackhawk Charities High School Hockey Classic presented by Coca-Cola will take place at the Chicago Blackhawks Official Training Center in Bensenville, Illinois located at 735 Jefferson Street from Friday, December 26, 2008 through Monday, December 29, 2008. This year's tournament will feature twenty (20) high school teams, including approximately fifteen Illinois-based teams and five from out-of-state. We invite you and your family come out during the holidays and watch some of the best high school hockey in action.

Following are the details for the Chicago Tournament trip. 

• Player bus departs Chaminade 7:30am Friday 12/26.  Players should be at Chaminade no later than 7:15am.
• Attached is the tournament schedule.  First game is 3:10pm on the 26th, with the bus arriving 1 hour in advance.
• Hotel is the Oakbrook Marriott.  I have blocked out 30 rooms at the rate of $89 per night under Chaminade Hockey. (There is a small glitch in the contract that I will straighten out Monday, they only have us for 2 nights,  26th & 27th, but there is plenty of availability on the 28th. So if you call this weekend to reserve you room go ahead and add the 28th at $94 and I will fix it when I talk to group sales on Monday.)
  • Chicago Oakbrook Marriot, 1401 West 22nd Street, Oakbrook, IL  60523 , 1-630-573-8555 .
  • Please call and reserve your rooms with your credit card as soon as possible.  They will start releasing rooms later this week.  
  • I have already reserved rooms for players and coaches which leaves 19 rooms.
• The rink where the tournament will be played is the Edge and the address is:  735 East Jefferson, Bensonville , IL  60106. 
• Cost for each player will be $340.   This includes transportation, lodging, and the tournament.  Please send your checks to me as soon as possible made out to Chaminade Hockey.  Address: 7408 Stanford Ave, St. Louis MO, 63130 .  Or you can give bring me a check at the rink this week.
• Players will need to bring their own money for meals.  Estimate 3 breakfasts, 4 lunches and 3 dinners.
